The Craft Maltsters Guild is committed to providing equitable access to education and opportunities in the craft malt industry to anyone interested. In 2023, the Guild will offer scholarships for both in-person and virtual attendance to the Craft Malt Conference scheduled for March 16-18, 2023 in Portland, ME. This scholarship program is intended to provide educational opportunities to individuals from historically excluded racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities and expressions, sexual orientations, and disabilities.

Two in-person scholarships will be available and will include free registration to the conference in Maine ($650 value, this includes some meals), plus a $1000 stipend to assist with travel expenses. Along with the in-person opportunities, there are three virtual scholarships to be had giving attendees the chance to tune in to the live conference educational sessions happening in Maine. All scholarship recipients will also receive a complimentary one-year Individual Membership ($150 value) with the Guild. With this membership, recipients will be able to continue their craft malt education throughout the year by accessing our extensive video and webinar archive, as well as attending upcoming educational webinars and joining in discussions on Guild member forums about craft malt-related topics.

Applicants are encouraged to review details about this year’s event on the Guild website before submitting an application. Learn more about the benefits of Guild membership here.

Scholarship recipients for each opportunity will be announced roughly two to three weeks after the final submission deadline.
