It’s Craft Malt Week! We’re also smack dab in the middle of the entry submission window for the 2021 Malt Cup. That window set to close October 5th. For Craft Malt Week, we wanted to offer up an opportunity for others to learn more about competition and have any questions they might have answered. It’s also just a good reason to have a beer on a Monday!

So grab a beverage (bonus points if it’s brewed or distilled with craft malt!) and join us for a virtual happy hour and Q&A about the 2021 Malt Cup on Monday, September 28th at 7PM Eastern / 5PM Mountain Time!

If you’re a maltster unsure about whether to enter your malt or just have questions about how the competition works, you’ll want to join us for this online event.

We’ll be joined by guest speakers, Hannah Turner, Director of the Montana State University Barley, Malt, & Brewing Quality Lab, and Lindsay Barr, co-founder and sensory expert at DraughtLab.

They’ll give a rundown of this year’s categories, talk about how to enter, discuss judging methodology, and answer any questions you might have.

A couple final notes, this virtual event will take place via Zoom. We’ll also happily take question submissions ahead of the event. Feel free to submit your queries to Executive Director, Jesse Bussard at [email protected].
