Custom tours for brewers and maltsters to view the newest Canadian malting barley varieties of three world-class farming operations in central Alberta, all of whom are premier malting barley producers including Antler Valley Farm and Red Shed Malting.
During the tour, attendees will see the next generation of Canadian malting barley varieties such as CDC Bow, AAC Connect, CDC Fraser, and the latest varieties developed specifically for the craft market including Lowe and CDC Churchill.

Wednesday July 24th | Morning visit to Antler Valley Farms; Afternoon visit to Lenz Farms and Hamil Farms/Red Shed Malting; Evening reception at Antler valley Farms |
Thursday July 25th | Morning visit to the Field Crop Development Centre in Lacombe. Afternoon – Return to Calgary by 1:00 p.m. |
Friday, June 21 is the deadline for registration as we will have to confirm our hotel block as well as numbers for transportation, etc. The event is being sponsored by the Alberta Barley Commission (ABC), the Brewing & Malting Barley Research Institute (BMBRI), the Canadian Malting Barley Technical Centre (CMBTC) and the Saskatchewan Barley Development Commission (SBDC).
