2016 NDSU BARLEY & MALT SHORT COURSE – CMG/ADI SCHOLARSHIP
Deadline for applications: 9/14/2016
The American Distilling Institute believes in the ability of Craft maltsters to supply breweries and distilleries with the highest quality malts. In order to help the craft malting industry strive for excellence, the ADI has partnered with the Craft Maltsters Guild to offer (4) $500 scholarships for current or aspiring maltsters to attend the upcoming NDSU Barley and Malt Short Course.
The 2016 NDSU Barley and Malt Short Course will take place in Fargo, ND October 3-6.
This 3.5 day short course is intended to provide an intensive overview of the many factors impacting barley and malt quality from the field to the brewhouse. Lectures, discussion sessions and laboratory demonstrations will provide participants with the knowledge to understand malt processing and to effectively interpret barley and malt analyses. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a group of internationally recognized experts assembled from industry, academics and government.
To be considered for this scholarship, please submit answers to the following questions to the CMG via Jackie Billings ([email protected]) on or before September 14. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate financial need. An ad-hoc committee will review applications and select the recipients based on the degree to which they meet the Guild’s goals. Recipients will be notified by the end of business on September 16, 2016.
