The inaugural Craft Malt Month generated a lot of online buzz! Beverage trade press from across the country and regional news sources in Tennessee, California, and Colorado all shared about events and tappings. Here are a few of the highlights from September 2024.
Aged For The Occasion
Consumer and trade media nationwide covered the Copperworks Distillery Craft Malt Month American Single Malt whiskey release, including 425 Magazine, The Manual, and The Whiskey Wash.
EIGHT Collaborations
Several beer media published stories about the eight collaboration beers that Riverbend Malt House was involved in. Dig into the story behind the Roggenbier by Craft Malt Certified™ breweries Fireforge Crafted Beer and The Southern Growl on the Brewer Magazine podcast.
A Malty Playlist
Jimmy Carbone of Beer Sessions Radio, who almost always makes it into our Kernels series, compiled his maltiest stories of the year in a dedicated Craft Malt Month playlist.
Join The Revolution
Craft Malt Month was a great time to publish stories about the craft malt revolution at large! Another usual suspect in Kernels, Don Tse, published a piece in Forbes about how craft maltsters are changing beer and farming industries. The New School Beer Blog covered the ongoing, transatlantic partnership between Admiral Maltings out of Alameda, CA and Crisp Malt out of Norfolk, England.
The Craft Maltsters Guild extends a sincere thank you to all of the media who amplified Craft Malt Month in their articles, podcasts, and social media posts. We hope you’re already working on your stories for September 2025!
