About the Craft Malt Conference

The 2019 Craft Malt Conference will take place February 2nd and 3rd, 2019, in Bozeman, Montana at Montana State University. The 2019 Craft Malt Conference will feature workshops and seminars on the latest research, topics, and best practices relevant to those in the craft malt supply chain.

Our host hotels are Element Bozeman and The LARK Bozeman, located in downtown Bozeman. We have room blocks with rates from $129 to $149, including complimentary WiFi and airport shuttle.

Transportation will not be provided from the hotels to the conference, but there are several transportation options available, including the fare-free Streamline Transit service as well as rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft.

Getting to Bozeman

The Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is the main airport of the Bozeman region with direct flights from fifteen US cities, including Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York/LaGuardia, Newark, Phoenix/Mesa, Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Seattle/Tacoma.

Advanced Class in Craft Malt Production

The Craft Maltsters GuildHartwick CollegeIFBM, and Montana State University are partnering to offer the Advanced Class in Craft Malt Production course, a one-week intensive class in craft malting technology. The course will take place the week preceding the 2019 Craft Malt Conference, beginning Monday, January 28th through Friday, February 1st, 2019.

The course is aimed to give starting and experienced craft maltsters as well as others within the craft malt supply chain both theoretical and practical knowledge in malting technology.
