The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation invites beer enthusiasts and students for an exciting weekend of beer and history at Ales through the Ages from November 11-13, 2022. With the option to join virtually or in-person, Ales Through The Ages provides a unique opportunity to network with internationally recognized brewers, scholars, authors, historians, and homebrewers, while potentially earning academic or professional credit. Explore ancient ales and indigenous beers of the past, examine the origins of brewing, and discover the ingredients brewers have used through time. Let’s not forget the fact that there will be beer involved. While there, participants will get the chance to watch a brewing demonstration at the historic Governors Palace kitchen and sample brand new ales created by local breweries and the Master of Foodways. For an extra fee of twenty dollars, participants can also attend an optional closing reception where they are welcomed and encouraged to bring their own homebrew to share! All of this is set to the backdrop of beautiful Colonial Williamsburg.
