The Thumb Field Day features the winter malting barley trial, a performance trial evaluating over 30 varieties at the Don Shelagowski Farm. Speakers will include Michigan State University Crop Educator, Martin Nagelkirk, and will discuss local farming opportunities for the local craft malt and beer industries.
