Les Trois Mousquetaires G.C. Porter Baltique
Brewed by: Les Trois Mousquetaires
Style: Baltic Porter
ABV: 10%
From: Brossard, Canada
This beer is a combination blend of special roasted malts, which provides it with both flavors and aromas of chocolate and coffee, along with subtle hints of cherry-smoked malt. Go ahead treat yourself.
Les Trois Mousquetaires, has been using malt from Bruno Vachon of Maltarie Frontenac since 2008. The brewer started by making his seasonal beers with Bruno’s malt. This Baltic Porter was one of these seasonal beers along with their Keller Bier, Oktoberfest beer and a few others.
In 2012 Les Trois Mousquetaires made the move to use 100% of Bruno’s malt in all their beers with the exception of caramel malts and roasted grains. The malts they use include: malted wheat, malted oats and munichs.
Les Trois Mousquetaires and Maltarie Frontenac have been working together as a team since 2008 utilizing a constant feedback loop to steadily improve both their malts and beers. Porter Baltique speaks to the tradition of the maltster/brewer relationship. Enjoy!
