Following the shift to an all-virtual experience, the Craft Maltsters Guild announced the virtual 2022 Craft Malt Conference schedule that includes many speakers originally slated for the in-person conference.
The Craft Malt Conference keynote speaker, June Russell, Director of Regional Food Programs at the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming, will kick off the conference on February 18. From there, virtual opportunities to learn and network are planned over the course of two weekends February 18-19 and February 25-26 with a virtual trade show planned for Thursday, February 24. All seminars will take place on Crowdcast, and the virtual Malt Cup Awards Ceremony will be a live broadcast open to the public on Saturday, February 19.
The Craft Maltsters Guild is pleased to present a curated list of 2022 speakers that spans industries and conversation topics ranging from barley breeding and growing to malt research, sensory considerations for breweries and distilleries to American Single Malt Whiskey, and so much more. The Guild invites maltsters, brewers, distillers, farmers, small grains researchers, and anyone else involved within the malt supply chain to participate in this year’s event. Find the full conference schedule here.
Registration is still open for the virtual conference, with early bird pricing available through the end of January. Participants can sign up here. Registration for the virtual event will remain open until February 17, 2022.
Additionally, three scholarships are available for fully funded conference participation, as well as a complimentary one-year individual membership with the Guild. The scholarships are part of the Guild’s commitment to providing equitable, just, and inclusive access to education and opportunities in the craft malt industry.
