The American Malting Barley Association (AMBA) has prepared summaries of the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) June acreage report and grain stocks.
Highlights include a 2.7% increase in barley planted, which is attributed primarily to NASS reinstated reporting in seven states: Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The reinstatement of reporting in the seven states is a result of the lobbying efforts of AMBA and the National Barley Improvement Committee.
