Lucky for Colorado travelers headed to the 2021 Craft Brewers Conference, you’re headed to an area with one of the largest numbers of Craft Malt Certified breweries! Some of them have special releases available for this week’s events, and some of them never fail to use craft malt in their flagship recipes. 

Here’s a sampling of beers to track down while you’re in Colorado this week.

Taste the infamous Comrade flagship Superpower IPA at the Brewers Association’s welcome reception this year! 

City Star Brewing Co.

All of City Star’s beers are made with Root Shoot Malting malt, grown less than ten miles from the brewery. 

Woods Boss Brewing Co.

Brewed with Root Shoot Malting malt

All current taproom offerings at Woods Boss were brewed with Root Shoot malt, including several collaborations made for the occasion. Woods Boss paired up with BottleShare on a West Coast-inspired IPA called Clarity Through the Haze, and with the Fermly independent lab to bring back a batch of the popular English Mild Ale made with earl grey tea, The Earl.
