In the webinar “Meet the Craft Malt Movement: Relocalizing Beer Supply Chains,” Guild Executive Director Jesse Bussard will introduce the attendees to North America’s burgeoning craft malt movement and the Craft Maltsters Guild, the trade association advocating for the many small independent maltsters among its ranks. Learn about the history of malting production in the United States and how craft malting came onto the scene. Get to know the Guild and its many resources and malt-focused educational experiences. Suggestions on ways craft beverage makers can connect with maltsters and farmers in their region and examples of how brewers and distillers are using craft malt to create distinctive and flavorful products will also be shared.
